Swordsman Spirit was created on May 23rd 2005. I have always been a fan of the action genre within anime and gaming and I especially had a fascination with samurai. It's just a joy for me to see action sequences and fighting scenes with the simple use of a sword.
Once I bought my own domain Cocoainsun.com, I decided to develop a website solely dedicated to swordwielders. I commenced with about 30 characters and a few avatars and wallpaper graphics.
I came to realize that there were others who shared my interests as well once my site began to grow through a slew of character submissions. Initially being coded in only html, it soon became extremely difficult for me to maintain the pages. And the evergrowing menu made the webpage setup look a bit sloppy. As a result, in April 2006, I revamped, databased and recoded the entire website in PHP.
I have continued to expand the site as much as I can also trying to make improvements as I go along. And I am very proud to say that the site currently has 150+ characters listed and is still growing.
